Shopping and Red Couch Pics

Today is Saturday and it is 1000% humidity and about 65-70 degrees outside.(LOL) Ella Grace was awake again this morning a 2:30am and it seemed like she was a little restless so I got her back to sleep in just a small amount of time. Then about 3:45am I heard this noise in our room. It was EG talking up a storm to herself, I laughed, laughed and laughed for about 45 minutes she just talked and talked and talked!!! The only thing that I could make out was baba and mama. So hopefully that is a break thru. She finally went back to sleep with the small blanket held in her arms. I was a little worried about that but I remembered I had read something about the orphanage where she is from gives the babies small white washcloths to hold at night. So I went back and reread an old email that did say that. So I thought this may be the ticket because she does not seem to sleep peacefully since she has been with us.

This morning we ate breakfast and had to be downstairs at 9:30 to go to Shamien Island and those in the group that needed medical exams and TB skin test read were done today also. There are 7 families that left between yesterday and today and then 5 new families came in for their 2 wk of the adoption process(**If you do not know you have to spend a week in the babies province doing paperwork, passport and visa and then the 2nd week for everyone is in the Guangdong Province due to the US Consulate is here and medicals are done here also--I believe that is correct). So we loaded the bus and headed out for a 30 minute ride to Shamien Island. We kind of got EG's red couch photo at the White Swan today while we had the time. Other than that Chris and I were free to shop, because we did not have to have a TB skin test since EG is under 2 yrs old. Praise the Lord for that. Before we headed out we went to the water fall and to see the fish at the White Swan lobby area. It was really pretty and there were some huge fish. So we went to Sherry's for squeaky shoes and then to Jenny's for silk outfits. While we were in these shops EG just talked and talked and talked. She then put her feet up on the handle bars of the stroller, so Chris and I called her hollywood the rest of the day she looked as if she has it made with her feet put on the handle bars. Then the last stop before eating lunch at Lucy's(American food--cheeseburger) was Micheals for a few other things we were looking for. We also saw where they wer taking picture of a bridal group for a wedding.

Then we all loaded up and headed back to the hotel at 2:00pm. Then as the itinerary said at 4:00pm one smart person(LOL) from each adopting family meet in the conference room here at the hotel on the 28th floor to finish the paperwork for EG Visa and flight itinerary information. So our meeting lasted a little over 1 hour but I think we have got everything done that we need to do. We will know on Feb 10, because Rebecca will go and submit the paperwork at the consulate for each family.

So I will leave you with a few pictures and hopefully a good nights rest for us all!!!! EG is already in bed as of just a few minutes ago and it is 8:10 pm Saturday night!!!

Love to everyone and please keep the prayers coming!!!!

Truly Blessed,

Burbank's
